Importance of Sleep for New Moms

Mothers who stay healthy postpartum are the ones who allow themselves to sleep as much as they feel necessary. Many mothers think that they can get their chores done when their little ones are asleep. Mothers should understand that it is very important to sleep whenever they can in the first six months after the birth of the baby. Don’t jump to clean house, pay bills or cook when the baby is asleep, try and get sleep whenever the baby is also. Moreover, these naps and snuggling will make the mother-baby bond stronger with your baby.

Having the same sleep cycle as the baby during the first few months establish a trusting bond between the other and the child. Moms who rejoin their work after giving birth to the baby within weeks don’t get to have these daytime naps with their little ones and their health also suffers.
